Seeking pediatric seasoned Speech Language Pathologist clinician to work with an early intervention caseload. POSITION SUMMARY: The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides medically prescribed occupational therapy to patients in their homes in accordance with physician’s plan of care and company policies. OT's provide consultation to other health care team members who share responsibility for patient care, and assesses the patient and participates in the development of the occupational therapy program. KEY JOB FUNCTION: Provides supervision to the Occupational Therapy Assistants and communicates with physician and other members of the health care team for the delivery and coordination of quality occupational therapy services. Provides occupational therapy services in accordance with applicable State, Federal, Medicare, Medical and other regulations and standards. Performs occupational therapy procedures, measurements, evaluations and diagnostic tests on patients in the home for whom they have been medically prescribed to aid in establishing or revising specifics of treatment program and communicates with physician appropriately. Translates all exercises to patient/CG/staff into functional activities or activities of daily living. Assists with orientation, provides supervision and consultation services to Occupational Therapy Assistants and documents assignments, instructions and supervision of Occupational Therapy Assistants effectively, updating assignments as needed.
